MICA is the first residential Institute in the country, and perhaps, in the Asia-Pacific region, dedicated to meeting the Integrated Marketing Communications needs of the Industry, Government and the Community. The Institute provides specialists in the field of communications management. Its spirit lies in its contemporariness, addressing the needs of a changing environment. The MICA Brand, assures the delivery of current, reliable and cost-effective communications management skills. Today, it is the alma mater of professionals who are serving in the marketing, marketing research, advertising, media and communications driven businesses.
February 5, 1991: Mudra Foundation for Communications Research & Education registered as a Society and Trust.
1991 to 1994: Ran short duration
programmes and executive development programmes in
Media Planning and Marketing Research and Account
Planning.
June 28, 1994: First two-year Post
Graduate Diploma Program in Communications inaugurated.
Presently into its sixteenth batch.
1994 to date: Progressively added
residential facilities on campus. Presently residential
facility available for over 350 students.
2001: Commencement of co-curricular activities like MICANVAS, MICAMINDS, MICA Lecture Series
2002-2004 : Commencement of other short-duration certificated programmes:

2003: Launch of MICA Communications Review
2004: First Student Exchange with ESCEM, France and University of Texas, USA
2004: Inauguration of the first international students hostel on Campus
2005: Inauguration of MICAVAANI – MICA’s community radio
2005: First Student Exchange with NTU, Singapore
2005: Average placement salary over Rs. 5 Lakhs per annum with almost 2 jobs per student
2005: MICA gets approval for 120 student intake from AICTE
2005: MICA recognized as the best sectoral business management school in the country (Outlook)
