specific experience. The new Executive
Post Graduate Programme in Communications
Management (PGPCMX) is designed uniquely
to suit the requirement of the industry
which needs qualified professionals at
senior level. The programme is unique
in its approach and focuses on exciting
and upcoming business sectors in communications
driven industries.
The PGPCMX is a 15 months,
full-time, residential programme approved
by AICTE. The PGPCMX leads to the award
of the Executive Post Graduate Diploma
in Management (Communications).

The objective of the
programme is to develop talented managers
ready to bring innovative thinking in
the organizations at the senior management
roles. In devising this programme, MICA
has responded to the expressed need of
various industry sectors for thought leaders
in Communications Management. The course
is designed for participants to gain management

of experiential learning and stimulating
peer interaction. The programme offers

Batch Profile
• All students (PGPCMX 2009-2010) have a Bachelor's degree
from a recognized University in India
or abroad as approved by the AICTE or
the Association of Indian Universities and a
minimum work experience
of seven years in relevant
industry sector after Graduation.

A short duration International
Study Tour would be offered as an optional
component of this course. Participants
will study at any of our international
partner institutions. Adequate industry

are built in the module.

Industry
Internship and projects
Extended industry internships
are specially designed to give participants
a hands on exposure to the relevant domain
areas and will keep them abreast about
latest happenings in the corporate world.
They will be assigned special mentors
and in the end they will do a comprehensive
project with that particular company.
Domain specific industry projects shall
be offered to substantiate industry exposure.

Dissertation
Comprehensive research
based dissertation is compulsory at the
end of the programme. The dissertation
involves a dual approach in terms of Academic
Knowledge Gap based research and incorporating
the outcomes in the Industry Application
of Theories of communications management.

Evaluation
MICA follows a continuous
evaluation system. Apart from mid-term
and end-term written tests, students are
evaluated through quizzes, assignments
and class participation. Some courses
require term papers and projects.
